Dr. Ronald Frenkel was born and raised in Connecticut. He attended undergraduate school at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated medical school from the University of Connecticut and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.

While in New Orleans for his Ophthalmology residency, Dr. Frenkel met his wife Julie. Upon graduation, they moved first to Connecticut, then to Thomasville, Georgia and finally settling in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He practiced Ophthalmology in Virginia For over 30 years before moving to Colorado..

In 2015, the Frenkel family made their final move to Fort Collins, Co. The Frenkel family is a very close-knit group. The eldest child, Sarah and her husband Jim, live in Austin, Texas. The next oldest is Andrew, who is pursuing a career in Los Angeles. Third is Jordan, who recently relocated to Denver. The remaining three children, Lisa, Shannon and Haley all live in Fort Collins.
